Tour Overview
The Sirimon Route is one of the most popular and rewarding trails for summiting Mount Kenya, Africa’s second-highest mountain. This 5–6 day trek offers a gentle and scenic approach, excellent for acclimatization and suited for both beginner and intermediate hikers.
Climbers ascend through rich montane forest, open moorland, and dramatic alpine terrain, with stunning views of glaciers, valleys, and wildlife. The final ascent to Point Lenana (4,985m)—the highest trekking peak—is done at sunrise, offering a magical experience at the top of Kenya.
Sirimon is also known for being less crowded, more gradual in elevation gain, and rich in biodiversity. It’s often combined with the Chogoria Route for descent, but can also be done as a return trail.
