- Day 1: Nairobi – Chogoria Town – Mount Kenya Bandas (2,950m)
Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving through the scenic central highlands toward Chogoria Town. From here, a 4×4 vehicle transfers you through forest tracks to Mount Kenya Bandas, situated within the forest zone. In the afternoon, you will take a short acclimatization walk to stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh mountain air before settling in for dinner.

- Day 2: Mount Kenya Bandas – Lake Ellis Camp (3,400m)
After breakfast, you begin your trek through a mix of lush bamboo forest and open moorland. The trail winds across ridges and valleys before reaching the stunning alpine setting of Lake Ellis. Here, camp is set up beside the lake, offering breathtaking views of Mount Kenya’s peaks reflected in the water.

- Day 3: Lake Ellis – Minto’s Camp (4,200m)
Today’s hike follows the rim of the dramatic Gorges Valley, offering sweeping views across the rugged landscapes. The trail gradually climbs toward Minto’s Camp, set near Lake Michaelson and surrounded by towering cliffs. In the afternoon, you may choose to take a short walk down to the lake for exploration and photography before returning to camp.

- Day 4: Summit Day – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Shipton’s Camp (4,200m)
The most challenging and rewarding day of the trek begins at 2:30 AM with a steady ascent under the stars. By sunrise, you reach Point Lenana, the third-highest peak of Mount Kenya, where you are rewarded with stunning views stretching across the African plains. After celebrating your achievement, you descend down the Sirimon side to Shipton’s Camp for rest and recovery.

- Day 5: Shipton’s Camp – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)
A more relaxed descent takes you through the spectacular Mackinder’s Valley, where striking rock formations, giant lobelias, and other unique alpine plants dominate the landscape. Keep an eye out for wildlife before arriving at Old Moses Camp for your final night on the mountain.

- Day 6: Old Moses Camp – Sirimon Gate (2,600m) – Nairobi
After breakfast, you continue your final descent through montane forest to Sirimon Gate. Here, your transfer vehicle awaits for the return journey to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.
